Two New Additions from Alpha-H

There are not many things in life that I enjoy more than talking about skincare - maybe except for red wine, a good cheese board, caffeine and Jai Courtney, but you get my drift. Looking for the perfect cleanser to help combat your dry but super oily skin? I'm your girl. Or maybe that pesky blemish that surfaced suddenly overnight before a big date? Let me hook you up with what you need to zap it away pronto. I love talking about my fave prods just as much as a new mother can't stop gushing about her newborn child - because discovering a new and exciting serum is pretty much on par as a new baby, right?! One of my all time fave skincare brands to talk about is Alpha-H (we go pretty wayyyy back), and I have two products of theirs that I have recently added to my skincare routine thanks to Facial Co. If you have yet to try Alpha-H, looking for more products of theirs to try or just love chin wagging about new skincare like I do, then read on.

Proudly Australian owned and operated, Alpha-H is one of those skincare brands that pretty much everyone and their dog has on their radar since becoming a global phenomenon. Whether you are a devotee to their products, tried one or two things or are eager to get your paws on some to get you started, you just know that their products work. I personally have been a long time user and fan of their highly coveted Liquid Gold and can accredit the huge difference in my skin texture to good old LG. That's why I was excited to be given a chance to add a few more of their products that I have never tried before to my skincare routine. The two products that I have been trialling for a good 6 months is their Triple Action Cleanser* and Vitamin A & E Serum*.

Perfect for oily, problematic, and acne prone skin, this ticks all the right boxes on my checklist for the perfect cleanser. This is an incredibly lightweight non-foaming gel cleanser that is great for daily use. But what is so unique about this cleanser is that it yields a 3 in 1 action to stop the spread of bacteria on the skin, remove traces of makeup whilst also maintaining the skin's natural pH balance - you could say that it is incredibly hard working!!

It works to reduce the production of excess oil (BIG TICK!) without stripping the skin or causing dryness, instead providing additional hydration to keep skin hydrated and moisturised- therefore making it perfect to use in the cooler months as well! I have been using this cleanser as my morning cleanse for the last few months, so I can't say how good it is at removing make-up but what I can say is that it has made a huge difference to the appearance and texture of my skin. Not only does it leave my skin feeling gently cleansed and refreshed after use making the perfect base canvas to apply my following skincare products, but has also helped to keep my skin feeling nourished and soothed, as well as de-congested.

One of the worst things about most cleansers that are marketed towards oily or acne prone skin is that one, they are usually a foam cleanser, and two, mostly strip away not only excess oil but all sorts of moisture from the skin - which basically counteracts everything about it, as basic skincare knowledge shows that no moisture = more oil production (duh!) But that is not the case with this cleanser at all, and for that reason alone is a big big BIG tick from me! This cleanser is also formulated with 3 key ingredients - aloe vera, cucumber and thyme, which are the ideal ingredients for soothing and gently removing impurities from pores. Since using this cleanser I have definitely noticed a huge reduction in blemishes, and my skin is generally clearer and softer in appearance with reduced oil production throughout the day - tick, tick, tick!

This Triple Action Cleanser currently retails for $35.17 on Facial Co, with a usual RRP of about $44, so definitely get on this one quick!

Alpha-H Vitamin A & E Serum 30ml*
This super concentrated serum is one that has been on my 'must try' list for forever and a day but I one that I never got around to actually giving ago. As the name suggests, this serum combines the super skin loving ingredients of vitamins A and E into one potent formula. These two combined work to target sun damaged, pigmented and acne scarred skin, while also helping to combat fine lines, wrinkles, enlarged pores and skin discolouration - sounds like magic in a bottle right?

The first thing that I noticed about this serum was the scent. Generally, it isn't too pleasant, but for the benefits that it has on the skin I can easily look past it! But if you are someone who is big on scent then I would suggest grabbing a sample first. I really wanted to try this serum to mainly target my acne scarring and really visible pores, as well as some uneven skintone. Using it after toning in my evening routine, I found this serum to be easily absorbed and really great at giving the skin an extra boost of hydration and nourishment. Alpha-H claim that this serum boosts the skin's natural immune system to stimulate cell renewal, tissue regeneration and collagen production to help repair damaged skin layers - aka everything that you want a serum to do! After 6 months of use, I can definitely see a marked improvement in my scarring, skin discolouration and overall skin texture but nothing 'mind-blowingly' amazing, it is safe to say you won't see results overnight, but in my opinion any sort of improvement is a step in the right direction. I can easily see with continued use that scarring and pigmentation will continue to be reduced. This serum currently retails for a discounted price on Facial Co. for $81.60.

All in all, I highly recommend these two products, with the cleanser being a standout favourite and one I can easily see myself repurchasing in the very near future. You can purchase these two products, the rest of Alpha-H range and more amazing skincare and make-up goodies at Facial Co.

Have you tried any of these two products before? Or are you interested to try out some more of the Alpha-H range? Let me know below!

  1. I'm just itching to try more Alpha H, especially this serum.

I'm so tired of overpriced retinoids and acids being undersold for all their potentials. I feel like Alpha H is more direct in terms of product formulas and the price point isn't bad. The Liquid Gold is something I can't live without anymore.

I'd also like to try their clay mask at some point.

  3. My skin isn't as oily as it used to be, but it can be blemish prone so I think this cleanser would be a good fit for me. I'm very tempted to pick it up now!
